What to Do at Lake Katherine
Paddle
Rent a canoe or kayak and enjoy our lake! As you paddle you may see muskrats, beavers, herons and turtles. Boat rentals begin May 23 and continue until October 10- as weather allows. Boats are available Monday thru Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 7pm. Canoes and kayaks costs $10 per person per hour to rent. Participants must be six years of age or older and children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Must call ahead to make a reservation.
Walk
Enjoy the mile loop walk around our lake or go off exploring our eastern trails along the ridge of the Cal Sag Channel. Many of our trails are wood chip which makes for a very comfortable walking surface. You can also stop at one of our many benches to take a break and take in your surroundings. Plan your route with our map.
Bike
Come out and bike our beautiful section of the Cal Sag trail on your next visit! The trail goes the entire length of the Lake Katherine property as you pedal past water, prairie and forest.
Run
Our grounds offer lots of options for all variety of runners. The Cal Sag Bike trail provides a flat surface for you to get miles under your belt and don't miss the private and wooded paths of the Eastern Trails. Jog mile loops around the lake or go easy on your knees with our soft wood chip trails perfect for low impact or recovery runs.
Play
Nature is for playing in! Go outdoors, breathe the fresh air and get active. Discover, explore and enjoy all our park and the natural world has to offer. Bring your friends and families out and run wild! Don't forget to check out our preschoolers and children's programs.

Do you have a passion for photography or painting? Whether you snap a sunflower, beautiful spring blossoms or leaves turning amber come fall, Lake Katherine has plenty of inspiration for your next piece of work.
